Nearly 1,000 UCC Environmental mill reject handling installations have conveyed millions of tons of iron pyrites, rocks, tramp metal and other material from coal pulverizers.
With a comprehensive understanding of how the rejects vary from site to site and the specific needs of the plant for collection and disposal, UCC applies its extensive experience and laboratory testing to design and supply the proper system solution.
Sluice systems have been supplied for the majority of systems, especially when water is used for mill inerting, but pneumatic and mechanical systems have been used at a number of installations to minimize or eliminate water from the process.

- Flexible design and multiple sized jetpulsion pumps to fit under pulverizer allowing for short or long distance conveying
- Can discharge to SFC’s, dewatering bins or storage bunker
- Can be designed to accommodate coal mill trips or sudden shutdown
